Whitepaper V4.1

24. Legal and Regulatory Positioning

Approved

IONON is designed for utility within a network, but “utility” is a product-design description, not a universal legal classification. Legal treatment depends on jurisdiction, transaction structure, representations and facts.

The SEC’s March 2026 interpretive release addresses how U.S. federal securities laws apply to categories of crypto assets and transactions involving them. Public communications therefore should emphasize current capabilities, verifiable utility, risks and on-chain rules rather than promises that management efforts will make the token appreciate.

The Genesis Auction Disclosure must be reviewed for the jurisdictions in which participation is offered and should include eligibility, sanctions restrictions, KYC/KYB where applicable, risks, smart-contract parameters, use-of-proceeds policy, liquidity policy and conflicts.

No sentence in this whitepaper is intended to be legal, tax or investment advice, a guaranteed return, or a representation that IONON is outside every financial-regulatory regime.
