Whitepaper V4.1
14. Genesis Distribution: Continuous Clearing Auction
The Genesis mechanism replaces the legacy fixed-price/bonus/bonding-curve narrative.
Uniswap’s Liquidity Launchpad combines a Continuous Clearing Auction with automatic migration into Uniswap v4 liquidity. Parameters such as floorPrice, requiredCurrencyRaised, the issuance schedule, validation hook, timing and migration configuration are on-chain and immutable once established.
14.1 Genesis principles
- No completed legacy token sale is assumed. The previously discussed family-and-friends support arrangement was not funded and produced no sale proceeds.
- No token bonus program. Early loyalty is expressed through access, identity, cards, community status and product utility rather than extra inflation.
- ETH as Genesis currency. IONON begins with the planned IONON/ETH market; later USDC and WBTC markets can be added as separate pools.
- Small initial tranche. Genesis should use only the amount the demand book and liquidity model can absorb. The working analysis range is approximately 0.5M–2.0M IONON, not 10M simply because a bucket exists.
- No self-bidding or fake volume. Treasury capital must not be used to fabricate demand in the auction.
- Graduation means graduation. If
requiredCurrencyRaisedis set and is not reached, the auction should fail under the published rules; the project should not silently “accept less” after participants relied on a higher minimum. - Whale controls must be disclosed and deterministic. A validation hook may enforce eligibility or per-identity limits if legally and technically appropriate.
14.2 Capital-target equation
For design purposes:
Required gross demand ≈ auction supply × effective average acquisition price.
Examples, before fees and with no implication of future value:
| Auction supply | $0.25 average | $0.50 average | $1.00 average |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500,000 | $125,000 | $250,000 | $500,000 |
| 1,000,000 | $250,000 | $500,000 | $1,000,000 |
| 1,500,000 | $375,000 | $750,000 | $1,500,000 |
| 2,000,000 | $500,000 | $1,000,000 | $2,000,000 |
A target such as $1M of gross capital can therefore be achieved through different combinations of supply and demand. The project should not reverse-engineer a desired market capitalization by choosing an arbitrary floor; it should use pre-Genesis demand evidence, needed liquidity depth, runway and legal review.
14.3 Floor and ETH volatility
If the CCA raises native ETH, a floor configured in ETH/IONON carries ETH/USD exposure. The floor must therefore be recalculated immediately before deployment if management uses a USD reference. The whitepaper does not freeze a dollar floor; final values belong in a separately versioned Genesis Auction Disclosure published before bidding opens.
14.4 Auction-supply schedule
The CCA allows a time-based issuance schedule. IONON should use a schedule that prevents the full allocation from being effectively decided at the first block while preserving enough late supply for robust discovery. The exact curve must be simulated under multiple bidder-arrival and demand scenarios.
14.5 Market-integrity design
Genesis must optimize for a credible market, not a headline valuation. The following are explicit prohibitions: project self-bidding to manufacture demand, wash trading, fake volume, undisclosed side allocations that undermine public rules, hidden anti-sell mechanics, misleading price guarantees and undisclosed market-maker inventory arrangements.
If concentration controls are required, the CCA validationHook can enforce disclosed eligibility rules. Where KYC/KYB is legally used, limits can be applied at the beneficial-owner level rather than pretending one-address-per-person is Sybil-resistant. Any cap should have a published purpose (for example, reducing single-participant concentration) and should not be marketed as a guarantee of decentralization or price stability.
14.6 Graduation and capital sufficiency
requiredCurrencyRaised should represent the minimum level at which the project is comfortable graduating into a live market after accounting for planned liquidity, execution runway and launch costs. If the threshold is not reached, failure to graduate is a designed outcome, not a crisis. Participants recover funds under the CCA rules and the project reassesses supply, demand and timing.
A board/DAO-approved Genesis memo should therefore publish: auction supply, currency, floor-price methodology, graduation threshold, release schedule, claims timing, validation rules, LP allocation logic, recipients, sweep permissions and post-auction treasury policy.
